It's 12° out, and on the way home tonight, my Malibu decided to start blowing cold air. It's now averaging one major problem every 1100 miles.

The good news, today we came to terms with a dealer on a new CX5. Come Friday or Saturday, I'll be trading that hunk of crap in, along with my wife's beloved '06 Mazda 3.

'11 Bu LTZ V6. Bought it last January as a CPO car with 36k miles.. It's been trouble from the word go. I'm going to start DDing my '06 Sierra again.

My dad's Silverado does this, but with hot air. In the Summer time. You have to cycle and it resets something somehow. My uncle's '10 Malibu LTZ I4 has done it one time and my dad did whatever the cycle thing was and it hasn't done it since. 'Tis weird.

Interesting, I have a friend with a 08 that has tons of problems. My other friend has a 11 or 12 and has held up decently. What specific problems if you don't mind me asking? My girlfriend is looking at one and I gave her the green light.

I tried shuting the car off and on, as well as changing the temp, fan, and duct settings back and forth. Twas a chilly ride home. Can't wait to never see this car again.

They have a good reputation, but this one's let me down. Other issues were a failed water pump, O2 sensor, throttle body, an oil leak. Also, the blower motor makes a rattling sound, and the USB port doesn't like to work in the cold.

I've heard the 4 cylinder cars are less problematic.

Saw 12 degrees. Thought warm bastard. Then realized it's an archaic and outdated measurement system. Damn that's cold.

We Americans are fond of archaic and outdated measurement systems. Yeah, it's damn cold out.
